October 19, 2008

Our focus for this meeting was painting Masterpiece frames for our Fundraiser for the 2008-2008 school year. We sold 26 finished, varnished frames at the TAEA Conference, designating funds to go toward the Galveston ISD Hurricane Relief efforts for Art classrooms.

Fundraiser frames will be sold at the National Art Education Association's ARTISAN's GALLERY on April 17th in Minneapolis.

December 6 at TCU: Lesson Plan Exchange

We had a great TAEA 2008 Conference in San Antonio this year and an informative lesson plan exchange on DECEMBER 6 at TCU. Many thanks to Dr. Amanda Allison for arranging the use of the Art Education classroom for this event!

January 25, 2009

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We met on January 25 at Weatherford High School. The Host was Kathy Cunning.
Artist: Laurie Alsobrook presented Pastels in Portraits.
We had a very insprirational workshop and learned amazing techniques.

February 8, 2009

On February 8, 2009 we met at Aledo High School. The host was Gloria Andrews.

Marylin Ivy presented printmaking techniques, and members participated in a hands-on monoprinting workshop with Golden Open Acrylic paints.

End-of-the-08-09-School Year AENCT meeting
WHERE: in room 207 of the Moudy Building (Texas Christian University)
SUNDAY, May 3
Members brought a piece of artwork to put "on display" during this meeting: Personal or student artwork! We surrounded ourselves with great art!
From this artwork and still life items, members participated in the Yellow Line Paining Lesson--a possibility for the end of the year!
